Responsibilities / Duties
Responsibilities
- Must be able to install all types of fences offered by Fence Craft. (Residential and commercial fencing, including wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link, and ornamental fences.)
- Lead and supervise a fence installation crew on residential and commercial projects.
- Review work orders, site plans, and project specifications before beginning each job.
- Ensure fences are installed accurately, safely, and according to company quality standards.
- Assign daily tasks and provide guidance and training to crew members.
- Coordinate with project managers and office staff to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Communicate professionally with customers and address on-site questions or concerns.
- Inspect job sites for safety hazards and enforce company safety policies.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Track materials, equipment, and labor used on each project and report any shortages or issues.
- Complete job documentation and ensure projects are finished on time and within budget.
- Mentor new installers and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Every applicant must undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen. If hired, updates are required annually.
Qualifications
- Fence installation experience, with prior crew leadership or foreman experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link, and ornamental fence installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, property surveys, and construction drawings.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Forklift, skid steer, or other equipment experience is a plus.
- OSHA certifications are a plus.
